Anna Macknick

Hi! I'm a Linguistics PhD student at UC Berkeley and a language worker for the Xaitsnoo (Southeastern Pomo) language community. . 

I collaborate with Robert Geary (Elem Pomo) to develop community-centered Xaitsnoo language resources to support language learners. 

My research centers on language reclamation, working primarily with archival materials.

I previously worked at the California Language Archive. In my position I focused on increasing the archive's outreach to Indigenous communities and making its website and catalogue more accessible.
